JAKARTA - PT Multi Bintang Indonesia Tbk (MLBI), a manufacturer of beverages, stated in its unaudited financial statements for the first quarter (Q1) of 2020 that its revenue and profit were 17.64% and 41.68% lower than their records in Q1 2019 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The company only operates in a limited capacity following the implementation of Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) by the government to suppress the outbreak of COVID-19.
As quoted from the company's answer to the inquiry made by IDX, which was published on the IDX website on Monday (8/6), the company stated that it had limited the number of workers present in its office during the pandemic.
In response to the decline in revenue and profit, MLBI management has implemented a number of measures, including reducing travel and operating expenses and postponing a number of its marketing activities. (LK/AR)
