Timah spends Rp 13.02 billion on exploration in May

JAKARTA. PT Timah Tbk (TINS) spent Rp 13.03 billion on exploration activities in Bangka and Belitung in May 2020.

According to TINS Corporate Secretary Abdullah Umar, the company conducted water exploration activities in Belitung, which included geological drilling, prospecting, and detailed drilling. The exploration used two drilling vessels at a depth of 2,216 metres.

Moreover, land exploration took place in Bangka and Belitung, which included mapping, geomagnetic exploration, core-logging, and tin drilling at a depth of 331 metres.

For June, TINS will maintain its exploration activities in Bangka and Belitung. In 2019, the company posted Rp 19.30 trillion in revenue, driven by Rp 17.73 trillion in tin sales, Rp 381.37 billion in tin solder sales, Rp 334.02 billion in tin chemical sales, Rp 316.32 billion in aluminium sales, and Rp 74.01 billion in nickel sales.
