Carlo Tewu is appointed as commissioner of PTBA

JAKARTA - Shareholders of PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) appointed Carlo Brix Tewu as a member of the company's board of commissioners at the company's Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM) which took place today (10/6). Aside from Carlo, the company also appoints three other commissioners. 

According to the company's the press release, besides Carlo Tewu, other figures that were also appointed are E Piterdono HZ, Irwandy Arif, and Andi Pahril Pawi (Independent Commissioner). They will replace Robert Heri, Taufik Madjid, Soenggoel Pardamean Sitorus, and Heru Setyobudi Suprayogo.

Carlo Tewu is a senior police officer with the final rank of Inspector General. He became well-known following the arrest of Hutomo Mandala Putra or Tommy Soeharto. Before being appointed as commissioner of PTBA, he had served as various roles, including Deputy for Legal Affairs and Legislation of the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises and Deputy V of Coordination for Security and Order in the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs.
