JAKARTA - PT Wijaya Karya Bangunan Gedung Tbk (WEGE) posted a net profit in the first quarter of this year amounting to Rp 81.64 billion. This figure increased by 5.3% compared to the previous year's achievements of Rp 77.53 billion.
As reported by Bisnis, the profit growth was driven by the efficiency of cost of revenue of Rp 9.36% to Rp 855.15 billion. While WEGE's revenue dropped 7.2% yoy to Rp 957.49 billion. WEGE also recorded a foreign exchange gain of Rp 2.82 billion and profit from a joint venture of Rp 16.67 billion.
Until May 2020, WEGE’s new contract earnings reached Rp 847.69 billion. These new contracts consist of several projects such as BI Palangkaraya, Denpasar Mandiri Building, Pertamina Simprug Corona Hospital, Antam Medika Hospital and The Park Mall Kendari. (LM)
