JAKARTA. PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk (JSMR) will distribute dividends worth Rp 110.36 billion (Rp 15.20 per share), taken from its net profit in FY2019, 66.59% lower than the dividends distributed last year.
M. Agus Setiawan, Corporate Secretary of JSMR, said the plan had been approved by the company's Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM) on Thursday (11/6). "The amount of the dividends is based on the consideration that Jasa Marga is expanding its toll road business," Setiawan said through an official statement.
In addition, Setiawan admitted that JSMR is trying to pay off a number of maturing debts. "[The Company] needs to strengthen liquidity amid the coronavirus pandemic," said Setiawan.
The value of dividends distributed by JSMR is equivalent to 5% of its net profit in 2019. In its financial statements, JSMR's net profit in 2019 was recorded at Rp 2.13 trillion, 5.35% lower than its record in Q1 2019 of Rp 2.25 trillion. (KR/AR)
