Halodoc expands rapid test services to Pekanbaru

PEKANBARU - In order to reduce the rate of Covid-19 spread and strengthen the implementation of health protocols towards the phase of a new life order (new normal) in Pekanbaru, Halodoc provides access to COVID-19 rapid test services. This service that utilizes the drive thru method will support the efforts of local governments to break the chain of COVID-19 spread.

In its implementation, Halodoc teamed up with Hermina Hospital in Pekanbaru as a medical team in the field and Ramayana Panam Pekanbaru as a rapid test provider. This test can be accessed by the people of Pekanbaru on June 8-20, 2020 at Ramayana Panam Square Pekanbaru.

Halodoc VP Marketing Felicia Kawilarang said, "The implementation of health protocols is increasingly important in the transition period of the COVID-19 pandemic towards the new normal phase. We believe that the use of telemedicine can support the adoption of new health protocols in the community. During the COVID-19 pandemic, active users of Halodoc experienced 10-fold growth. Where the most widely used services range from consulting with a doctor to buying drugs. With rapid test services, users in Pekanbaru can experience complete health care facilities to check the risk of COVID-19."

To access the rapid test service, users can simply select the 'COVID-19 Test' menu on the Halodoc application's home page and then select the location "Rapid Test Ramayana Panam by Hermina Hospital Pekanbaru". After that, users can choose the day and time of the test. Users are required to complete their personal data by uploading an ID card photo as a complete registration process and completing the payment process.

During examination, users are encouraged to come to the location by using a motorcycle or private car, or use online transportation services while maintaining safety guidelines during the trip. Examination results will be informed 1 day after via SMS or Halodoc application. If the results are positive, users will be recommended to consult a doctor at Halodoc again to determine further treatment, such as self isolation or further examination to COVID-19 referral hospital.
