Luhut's nephew appointed to IDX Board of Commissioner

JAKARTA - Pandu Patria Sjahrir, a nephew of Coordinating Maritime Affairs and Investment Minister Luhut B. Pandjaitan, has been appointed to the Indonesia Stock Exchange's (IDX) Board of Commissioners for the 2020-2023 term.

In addition to Mr Sjahrir, the IDX's AGM also named two other new commissioners, Heru Handayanto and Karman Pamurahardjo. Mr Sjahrir currently serves as Director of PT Toba Bara Sejahtra Tbk (TOBA), a member company of the Toba Sejahtra Group, which Mr Pandjaitan founded in 2004 after retiring from the army.

Of the three new commissioners, Mr Sjahrir is the only one who holds a position in an IDX-listed company and is not a Stock Exchange Member. As Stock Exchange Member representatives, previously Mr Handayanto served as Director of PT Mandiri Sekuritas, while Mr Pamurahardjo was formerly the CEO of PT Profindo Sekuritas Indonesia.

The IDX's Board of Commissioners for the 2020-2023 term is as follows:

  • President Commissioner: John A. Prasetio

  • Commissioner: Mohammad Noor Rachman Soejoeti

  • Commissioner: Heru Handayanto

  • Commissioner: Karman Pamurahardjo

  • Commissioner: Pandu Satria Sjahrir
