EU Ambassador to Indonesia visits DPR

JAKARTA - The European Union Ambassador to Indonesia pays special attention to the development of the Indonesian Employment Law (Omnibus Law). particularly about investment certainty. This was raised in a meeting between the European Union Ambassador to Indonesia, Vincent Piket and Deputy Chairperson of Commission XI of the House of Representatives (DPR RI) Fathan and members of Commission XI Puteri Anetta and Ela Siti Nuryamah in Jakarta on Wednesday (8/7).

According to Fathan, Vincent Piket paid attention to a number of issues in the Omnibus Law, especially efforts to remove investment barriers in Indonesia. The EU Ambassador, he said, promised to invite a number of potential investors to invest in Indonesia.

"We received the European Union Ambassador to Indonesia, a number of important points that were raised were about parliamentary support on issues of free trade, as well as omnibus law issues," he said in a press release.

During the visit, he said, the EU Ambassador also promised more concrete cooperation, especially regarding the handling of the COVID-19 pandemic and funding for the MSME sector. (LK/AR)
