Construction progress of CIbitung-Cilincing toll road reaches 74%

JAKARTA - The construction progress of Cibitung-Cilincing Toll Road (JTCC) has reached 74 percent. PT Pelabuhan Indonesia II (Persero) / IPC is optimistic that the toll road that will connect the industrial area in Cikarang with the Port of Tanjung Priok can begin operating Semester I in 2021.

"The 34.8 Kilometer toll road work continues. Despite the Covid-19 pandemic, construction of the JTCC toll road project is ongoing, by implementing a health protocol," said IPC President Director Arif Suhartono in Jakarta on Thursday (9/7).

At present, Arif explained that land acquisition for all JTCC sections has reached 86 percent. The rest is expected to be completed in the near future.

The Cibitung-Cilincing Toll Road Section was built by PT CTP Tollways. PT CTP Tollways shares are owned by PT Akses Pelabuhan Indonesia (45 percent) which is the second tier subsidiary of IPC, and PT Waskita Toll Road (55 percent). The total investment for the JTCC development is around Rp 10.8 trillion.

JTCC toll road is part of the Jakarta Outer Ring Road Toll Road 2 (JORR 2) construction. This toll road section consists of 4 sections, namely Cibitung - Telaga Asih (3.14 Km); Telaga Asih - Tambelang (10.30 Km); Tambelang - Tarumajaya (14.3 Km); and Tarumajaya - Cilincing (7.10 Km). (LM)
