BRI was the highest dividend payer to the government in 2019

JAKARTA. PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BBRI) is recorded as the highest dividend payer to the government in 2019, reaching Rp 9.25 trillion. 

BBRI's payment surpassed PT Telkom Indonesia Tbk (TLKM), which in 2018 occupied the position as the highest dividend payer. In 2019, TLKM only paid Rp 8.45 trillion to the government.

The audited Central Government Financial Report (LKPP) recorded that the total value of the dividends received by the government from a number of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) reached Rp 50.63 trillion. Rp 18.59 trillion came from state-owned banks, and Rp 31.17 trillion came from non-banking SOEs.

Furthermore, LKPP reported that of the total dividends in 2019, 53.36% came from the 10 largest SOEs, starting from PT Bank BRI Tbk (Rp 9.25 trillion), PT Telkom Tbk (Rp 8.45 trillion), PT Pertamina (Persero) (Rp 7.95 trillion), PT Bank Mandiri Tbk (Rp 6.75 trillion) ), PLN (Rp 4.00 trillion), PT Bank BNI Tbk (Rp 2.25 trillion), Pegadaian (Persero) (Rp 1.38 trillion), PT Indonesia Asahan Aluminum (Persero) (Rp 1.08 trillion), PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) (Rp 1.04 trillion) and PT Jasa Raharja (Persero) (Rp 881.12 billion).
