JAKARTA. PT Wahana Ottomitra Multiartha Tbk's (WOMF) performance in the first semester of 2020 may be unsatisfactory, due to the fact that the company had temporarily closed down 40 of its offices for three months due to COVID-19.

In the disclosure of information published on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) on Wednesday (15/7), WOMF stated that the estimated decline of the company's net profit is between 25% -50%.

Corporate Secretary oF WOMF. Zacharia Susantadiredja explained that the decline in performance was mainly caused by the closure of 40 of its offices.

The impact of the pandemic, said Zacharia, forced his party to make adjustments to salaries and working hours of 400 of its employees.

To maintain business continuity, WOMF provides credit restructuring program for co-19 affected consumers, implementing stricter screening process, more effective billing, and reducing operating expenses. (AM/AR)
