20 July 2020 13:05

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing will evaluate 42 banks involved in the Mortgage Financing Liquidity Facility (FLPP) scheme because there are four banks that are yet to disburse FLPP funds.

According to data from the Mortgage Fund Management Centre (PPDPP), realisation of FLPP disbursement as of July 15, 2020 reached Rp 7.79 trillion for 76,914 houses, or 70.81% of this year’s FLPP target of Rp 11 trillion. However, the funds were disbursed by 38 of the 42 banks involved, which consist of 10 national banks and 32 Regional Development Banks.

“We hope executing banks that still perform under the set target can improve their performance because a lot of people need the facility,” PPDPP Chief Executive Arief Sabaruddin said as quoted from Antara, Sunday (19/7).

Thus, Mr Sabaruddin added, PPDPP will evaluate the disbursement performance of every bank involved. He has also given a warning to banks whose performance is still below the set target.

In the 2020 FLPP disbursement, the highest disbursement realisation was recorded by PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BBTN) with 39,739 houses, followed by PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBNI) and PT BTN Syariah with 6,591 houses each. (MS)
