The new Lippo commissioner owns 2.8% of the company's shares

JAKARTA. Anand Kumar, the new commissioner of PT Lippo Karawaci Tbk (LPKR), announced his ownership of 2.8% of LPKR shares. The shares are indirectly owned by Kumar through Gateway Fund I, LP, an investment management company.

For information, Gateway Fund is a company based in Cayman Island, a foreign territory of the United Kingdom known as a tax haven. Gateway Fund has a partnership with GP Partners Limited (GP), in which Kumar also fills one of the important positions.

"I am a member of the GP Investment Committee," Kumar said through information disclosure published on the Indonesia Stock Exchange website.

Kumar's total stake in LPKR is currently equivalent to 1,997,800,000 shares. Previously, Kumar was just appointed as Commissioner of LPKR on 17 July 2020, through the company's Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS).

The current controlling shareholder of LPKR is PT Inti Anugrah Pratama, a company owned by John Riady, with a stake of 23.60%. Other shareholders include Sierra Corporation (16.9%), PT Primantara Utama Sejahtera (10.44%), and public investors (49.06%). (KR/AR)
