OJK will support the investigation of Bukopin case
JAKARTA - The Financial Services Authority (OJK) fully supports the legal process against OJK employees who have been named as suspects in connection with the criminal case occurred in Surabaya branch of PT Bank Bukopin Tbk (BBK). In this case, OJK employees were allegedly abusing their power for the benefit of a group of people.
In the OJK press release published today (23/7), Anto Prabowo, Deputy Commissioner for Public Relations and Logistics at OJK said that his party upholds the presumption of innocence and respects law enforcement against OJK employees. "OJK reminds all employees to maintain integrity and uphold governance values," he said.
This is OJK's response to the arrest of DW, an OJK employee by the Jakarta Prosecutor's Office regarding the case, which occurred when he became the general inspection team in Bank Bukopin.
OJK, he said, has carried out a series of internal investigation processes to investigate the involvement of DW. Furthermore, OJK relieved DW from duty on suspicion of violating OJK rules. (LK/AR)
