JAKARTA. Gojek appointed Severan Rault, former Director of Software Development at Amazon, as Chief Technology Officer (CTO), who is responsible for all technologies in the Gojek ecosystem.
Kevin Aluwi, Gojek's Co-CEO, said he was confident that the appointment of Rault would bring the development of Gojek's products and services to a higher level. "Severan is a leader in the field of technology," Aluwi said through an official statement to idnfinancials.com.
In addition to his experience at Amazon, Rault was once the Principal Architect Manager at Bing, Microsoft's search engine. He was also the Principal Development Manager of Microsoft OneApp.
In an official statement, Rault stated that Gojek currently faces considerable challenges. Because Gojek is entering the transition phase from a startup to a bigger company.
"Building systems and processes of a business with the scale and complexity of Gojek is a challenge," Rault said.
For the record, CTO Gojek's position was filled by Ajey Gore, a programmer from India. Gore has left Gojek since 12 June 2020, due to personal reasons. (KR/AR)
