PT Inocycle Technology Group Tbk (INOV) is expanding its business by opening a washing facility in Medan (Deli Serdang). This step aims to expand and secure the supply chain of raw materials in the island of Sumatra. Previously, INOV already had washing facilities in Solo and Mojokerto, in addition to Medan INOV planned to open washing facilities in Makassar, Lampung and Balikpapan.
Director of INOV, Victor Choi said, "The opening of the washing facility in Medan is carried out in order to expand the supply capacity of raw materials for Re-PSF products. Aside from Medan, INOV also plans to open similar facility in Makassar. Each washing facility is planned to have a production capacity of 500 tons per month, washing facility in Medan have begun collecting plastic bottle waste in early July 2020, while for facility in Makassar will begin construction in 2021."
At the washing facility, plastic bottle waste that is collected goes through several processes such as sorting, crushing, until washing to produce plastic flakes. The washing facility in Medan will be equipped with a Re-PSF plant.
For information, in Q1-2020 Financial Statement, INOV recorded Rp133.6 billion revenue or an increase of 21% from Rp110.1 billion in the same period last year. (LM)
