Three Pupuk Indonesia subsidiaries are expected to obtain SMAP certification soon

JAKARTA - PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) expects three of its subsidiaries to obtain SNI Anti-Bribery Management System (SMAP) certification.  

In a press release on Monday (7/27), Wijaya Laksana, Head of Corporate Communications of PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) said that as a state-owned company, Pupuk Indonesia is committed to obtain the SMAP certificate. "The target of obtaining anti-bribery certification is in line with the direction of the Ministry of SOEs which encourages all state-owned companies to improve corporate governance and uphold an anti-corruption culture," he said.

The three subsidiaries are PT Pupuk Kujang, PT Pupuk Iskandar Muda, and PT Rekayasa Industri. The company's other subsidiaries that have received the certification include PT Pupuk Kaltim (from the British Standards Institution on 16 June 2020), PT Petro Kima Gresik (from the United States International Registration System (Ascricert) Indonesia on 1 July 2020), and PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja Palembang (from TUV Nord Indonesia Certification Institute on 15 July 2020).

According to him, SMAP certification will support Pupuk Indonesia Group to prevent potential fraud in the future. "Pupuk Indonesia is committed to running a business that is supported by risk management, internal control and consistent implementation of GCG principles," he said. (LK/AR)
