JAKARTA. PT Ace Hardware Tbk (ACES) will focus on selling healthcare products, because they may be needed by customers during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Prabowo Widyakrisnadi, President Director of ACES, said that healthcare products is also one of the company's mainstay segments in the first semester (1H) of 2020. "Products that are sought after are products that are related to healthcare and sporting goods products, such as bicycles, "said Widyakrisnadi in his public expose yesterday.
Widyakrisnadi explained that the economy in Indonesia has not returned to normal, so ACES' business is expected to decline this year. "It is estimated that the best scenario is zero sales growth," he explained.
In its recently released financial report, ACES stated that its net sales were recorded at Rp 3.65 trillion, 7.8% lower than its record in 1H 2019. Its net profit also decreased by 25.4% YoY to Rp 353.6 billion.
As of the end of June 2020, the company has 204 Ace Hardware outlets and 56 Toys Kingdom outlets. (KR/AR)
