JAKARTA - PT Surya Citra Media Tbk (SCMA), owner of SCTV, has repurchased (buyback) 619,435,700 of its shares by 31 July 2020.
As quoted from the company's disclosure published on Thursday (6/8), Gilang Iskandar, Corporate Secretary of PT Surya Citra Media Tbk (SCMA) said that the company spent Rp 583.92 billion for the buyback.
According to him, the corporate action was done mainly due to the weakening of stock market, caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. (LK/AR)
