10 August 2020 15:14

JAKARTA - The Financial Services Authority (OJK) said that IPO issuance value on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) until August 2020 was still lower compared to last year.

Hoesen, Chief Executive of Capital Market Supervision at OJK, said that the recorded IPO issuance value as of 7 August 2020 reached Rp 3.3 trillion from 29 issuers. "In the same period in 2019, the recorded figure was Rp 8.5 trillion from 29 issuers that obtained effective statements and listed on the stock exchange," he said in Jakarta on Monday (10/8).

Among the listed companies, he said, there are 21 listed companies listed on the development board with net asset values between Rp 1 billion and Rp 100 billion, three companies are listed on the acceleration board, and only five companies are listed on the main board with net asset value above Rp 100 billion.

According to him, this condition shows that some small and medium-sized companies are using the capital market as an alternative to obtain financing. (LK/AR)
