JAKARTA. PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM) will focus on precious metal sales. The company hopes that the positive trend of the sector will support its performance until the end of this year.
In the first half (1H) of 2020, precious metals was the main contributor to the company's sales (Rp 6.4 trillion of total sales of Rp 9.22 trillion).
SVP Corporate Secretary of Antam Kunto Hendrapawoko said that even though its sales was lower compared to last year, the company was still able to record an operating profit from the precious metals of Rp 495.15 billion in 1H 2020, 110.76% higher than its record last year.
Kunto emphasized that the growth in operating profit in this segment is in line with the development of the market for Antam's precious metals. In addition, gold still received positive responses from the public. He hopes that in the future, the positive trend will be able to strengthen Antam's operational performance.
