JAKARTA. PT PLN (Persero) cut its capital expenditure budget by 46.41% to Rp 53.59 trillion from the planned Rp 100 trillion.
President Director of PT PLN (Persero) Zulkifli Zaini stated in a hearing with Commission VI of the House of Representatives (DPR) that the cut was made in accordance with the company's work plan and budget (RKAP).
According to him, PLN is sorting the payment of operating expenses and arranging them based on priorities, so that the impact of the reduction in fixed capital expenditures can be controlled.
Meanwhile, PLN's financial performance in the first semester of 2020 was very bad, with massive decline in profit (96.28% from Rp 7.35 trillion to only Rp 273.06 billion. (AM/AR)
