TANGERANG - The Indonesian Air Navigation Agency (AirNav Indonesia) has launched AirNav-Electronic Aeronautical Chart (Nav-Earth), an app that provides digital flight maps and charts in real time.

“The Nav-Earth app is expected to facilitate external parties in accessing flight maps and aeronautical information integrated with NOTAMs (Notices to Airmen) and ASHTAM (Volcanic Ash Notices), and aviation meteorology accurately in real time,” said AirNav Indonesia CEO M. Pramintohadi in an official statement on the Ministry of State-owned Enterprises’ website, Tuesday (11/8).

According to Mr Pramintohadi, the app will allow operators to obtain accurate information in an integrated platform. In addition, the app also has an airspace management feature that can provide information about alternative routes to airlines.

Going forward, said Mr Pramintohadi, the company will also provide a Drone Management System service to facilitate drone licencing, recommendation, and validation in Indonesia. (MS)
