PTPP starts the construction of Tamblang Dam in Bali

JAKARTA. PT Pembangunan Perumahan (Persero) Tbk (PTPP) has carried out the groundbreaking of the Tamblang Dam project in Bali. The project is valued at Rp 769 billion.

Novel Arsyad, President Director of PTPP, said that the dam will later provide irrigation in the Ungkulan, Kubutambahan, and Sawan areas. "This dam project is targeted to be completed in 2022 and can be used for support a Micro Hydro Power Plant (PLTMH) with a capacity of 0.538 MW," Arsyad said in an official statement today.

The capacity of the Tamblang Dam is 7.6 cubic meters. This dam will be built 68 meters high from the riverbed.

PTPP explained that the Tamblang Dam project is one of 65 dams that are considered as national strategic projects. In this project, PTPP will do the preparation, excavation work, and the construction of access roads, circumvention tunnels, the main dam, and the facility building. (KR/AR)
