JAKARTA - PT Pertamina (Persero) will open and operate 4,308 Pertashops by the end of the year. Currently, Pertamina has operated 500 Pertashops in 23 provinces.
Fajriyah Usman, Vice President for Corporate Communication of PT Pertamina (Persero) said that as many as 4,308 Pertashops will be in 2,376 sub-districts that do not yet have a fuel distribution agency and can be reached by fuel tank cars. "Pertamina will also build 2000 Pertashops in a number of strategic places, such as in Banten, West Java and East Java," he said in a press release.
He said that the Pertashops could help fulfil the needs of consumers in all parts of Indonesia. Pertamina, he said, would prioritize villages and SOEs as managers of Pertashop, in line with the Pertamina One Village One Outlet Program.
"The average turnover obtained from Pertashop is between 700 and 900 liters per day. For example, the Pertashop in Karanglo Village, Tawangmangu District, Karanganyar Regency, Central Java, once distributed 1,000 liters per day or around 300 vehicles per day that used Pertashop," he said. (LK/AR)
