19 August 2020 08:19

JAKARTA - PT Sarimelati Kencana Tbk (PZZA) reiterated that the closure of a number of Pizza Hut outlets caused by the bankruptcy of NPC International Inc (NPC) had no impact on PZZA's operations. This was conveyed by Kurniadi Sulistyomo, Corporate Secretary of PT Sarimelati Kencana Tbk (PZZA) in a press release published on Wednesday (19/8).

"The company hereby stated that NPC has neither a business relationship nor a legal relationship with PZZA," said Kurniadi.

This statement, he said, has to be made to ensure all shareholders and the public that the company is still in a good financial condition. The company, he continued, would not experience direct or indirect impact of NPC's bankrupt in the United States. "As of June 2020, PZZA still managed to book a net profit of Rp 10.47 billion," he said.

He further explained that the company had opened four new outlets in the past month, making the total number of new outlets opened in 2020 rise to 19. (LK/AR)
