Kresna Sekuritas's performance may be affected by civil lawsuit

28 August 2020 07:28

JAKARTA - The civil lawsuit filed by five customers of PT Kresna Sekuritas is expected to affect the company's performance. This was stated by Dewi Kartini Laya, Director of PT Kresna Graha Investama Tbk (KREN), the parent company of Kresna Sekuritas, in a disclosure published on Friday (28/8).

"Until now, Kresna Sekuritas is still in operation, but its performance is expected to decline," said Dewi.

As of June 2020,  KS contributed Rp 24.65 billion, 0.4% to KREN's revenue.

As previously reported, Lizza Chritina Budiharjo, Martin Triadmaja, Wachid Hendriadi, PT Dian Nusantara Murni, and Ina Liliana have submitted a civil lawsuit against the Financial Services Authority (OJK) and KS regarding the process of customer funds disbursement in a share purchase agreement. The plaintiffs are KS' customers.

According to Dewi, KS was not the party involved in the agreement that was the object of the lawsuit. However, her party will respect the ongoing court process. "Kresna Sekurtas has appointed a legal representative to represent KS in response to the lawsuit," he said.

As of today, she said, the shares purchased by the plaintiffs were saved in their respective securities sub-accounts registered at PT Kustodian Sentral Efek Indonesia. (LK/AR)
