JAKARTA - PT Sona Topas Tourism Industry Tbk (SONA), a company that runs a duty-free business, has decided not to extend the rental contract for its outlets located in the airport managed by PT Angkasa Pura (Persero) I. This was conveyed by Wong Budi Setiawan, Corporate Secretary of PT Sona Topas Tourism Industry Tbk (SONA) in a disclosure published on Monday (31/8).

He said that PT Dufree Promosindo, a subsidiary of SONA, chose not to extend the contract with AP I due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. "[We are] not continuing the contract with AP I at Bali International Airport," he said.

So far, the implementation of Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) has affected PT Dufree Promosindo's revenue from Bali airport.

"The COVID-19 virus outbreak is still affecting tourism in Indonesia," he said. (LK/AR)
