Telkom shifts Blanja.com focus on corporate B2B and MSME segments

JAKARTA - PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM) or Telkom will shift the focus of its e-commerce arm Blanja.com on the corporate and MSME segments through business-to-business (B2B) transactions. Following the adjustment, the e-commerce platform will no longer serve the retail consumer or business-to-consumer (B2C) segment.

According to Telkom Digital Business Director Fajrin Rasyid, Blanja.com will complete matters related to termination of partnerships in the retail business per each agreement. "The Telkom Group would like to thank the public for their trust, and our stakeholders for having joined and utilised Blanja.com," he said in a press release on Wednesday (2/9).

As of October 1, 2020, Telkom will only focus on the e-commerce business in the corporate and MSME segments through B2B transactions. This, Mr Rasyid said, is part of the company's strategic effort to improve its e-commerce business. "This is in line with the company's long-term strategic plan to drive profitability," he said.
