JAKARTA - KB Kookmin Bank Co Ltd becomes the controlling shareholder with a 67% stake in PT Bank Bukopin Tbk (BBKP) after the private placement done yesterday (2/9). This was conveyed by Melliawati, Corporate Secretary of PT Bank Bukopin Tbk (BBK) in a disclosure published on Friday (4/9).
During the private placement, Kookmin Bank injected Rp 3.10 trillion into Bukopin by taking all 16,360,578,947 Series B shares offered at a price of Rp 190 per share. "All funds obtained from a private placement will be used to improve the company's financial position," she said.
After the private placement, she said, the company's total issued and paid-up capital rose to 32,651,913,216 shares. (LK/AR)
