Angkasa Pura Logistik acquires cargo aircraft

SURABAYA - PT Angkasa Pura Logistik (APLog), the logistics arm of PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero) or AP I, has acquired another aircraft for its fleet. The aircraft, leased from PT Pelita Air Service (PAS), is an ATR 72-500 registered as PK-PAT.

The aircraft was officially launched virtually at Juanda International Airport, Surabaya on 5 September 2020. The launch was carried out by APLog COO Akhmad Munir, PT Pos Logistik Indonesia CBO Titik Sugiharti, and Juanda Naval Air Base Commander Col. Muhammad Tohir.

“Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Angkasa Pura Airports continues to seek and strengthen alternative financing sources by expanding its subsidiaries, including Angkasa Pura Logistik with its additional cargo aircraft,” said AP I CEO Faik Fahmi in an official statement on the Ministry of State-owned Enterprises’ website, Tuesday (8/9).

Currently APLog’s fleet consists of two ATR 72-500 aircraft, all leased from Pelita Air. Going forward, the company will acquire a Boeing 737-300.

The company operates flights to nine domestic destinations and one international destination, namely Batam, Jakarta, Denpasar, Balikpapan, Banjarmasin, Manado, Makassar, Kendari, and Singapore. (MS)
