Astra announces fifth round of assistance for COVID-19 amounting to Rp 20.8 billion

JAKARTA - Astra, through Nurani Astra, is gradually handing over the fifth round assistance related to COVID-19 in the form of 50 ventilators worth Rp 20.8 billion to various regions in 18 provinces in Indonesia. The delivery of the fifth round of assistance is Astra's contribution to assisting the government and society in breaking the chain of COVID-19 spread.

This fifth round of assistance is a continuation of the first to fourth round of assistance delivery from Astra with a total value of Rp 131 billion in the period March to May 2020. With this fifth round of assistance, total assistance from Astra has reached a total of Rp 151.8 billion.

"Astra is consistent and continues to work hand in hand to support the efforts of the government, society and medical personnel in preventing the spread of COVID-19 throughout Indonesia. By handing over this ventilator, we hope to accelerate the handling of positive patients with COVID-19. Of course we all hope that this pandemic will end soon," said Astra President Director Djony Bunarto Tjondro.

In the period from June to July 2020, as many as 10 ventilators were distributed by Astra through the Astra Group Coordinator in the regions of North Sumatra, West Sumatra, South Kalimantan, South Sulawesi and Papua. A total of 40 ventilators will be delivered in stages in 18 provinces in Indonesia, namely Aceh, North Sumatra, Riau, West Sumatra, South Sumatra, Banten, West Java, Central Java, East Java, West Nusa Tenggara, Bali, West Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, South Sulawesi, North Sulawesi and Papua.
