Gojek launches GoToko

10 September 2020 14:33

JAKARTA - In line with the #MelajuBersamaGojek initiative in providing inclusive and comprehensive solutions for MSME players to go digital, today Gojek launched GoToko. This B2B digital platform with upstream to downstream services will connect grocery shop entrepreneurs who have less reach in sales distribution with well-known packaging goods manufacturers.

The GoToko application provides various benefits for warung businesses to shop for stock items online and is very easy to access. With GoToko's upstream to downstream services, these MSME players can save costs and time, because of the ease of finding and ordering various kinds of packaged consumer products from a number of well-known brands at competitive and transparent prices.

GoToko CEO and President Director Gurnoor Singh Dhillon said, “The launch of GoToko strengthens Gojek's mission to provide solutions to problems faced by users and at the same time create social and economic impacts for more stakeholders. As an economic driver, 3 million grocery stalls have contributed almost 80% of the Indonesian retail market. However, more than 80% or around 2.5 million of these stalls are still in the underserved or under-served category.1 In order to thrive, these MSME actors need to receive adequate service support, even though the location of the stalls is difficult to reach and the scope of business is small."

In addition to making it easier to order goods, GoToko encourages the productivity of shopkeepers through monitoring features for order history, tracking for ordered goods, inventory management, access to sales and financial data, and product recommendations according to market demand. Access to promotional and loyalty programs from product brands is increasingly open through the GoToko platform. (LM)
