Bukit Asam allocates Rp 128 billion to build public facilities in South Sumatra

JAKARTA. PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) has allocated Rp 128 billion to build stadiums and other public facilities in South Sumatra.

According to Bukit Asam Corporate Secretary Apollonius Andwie C., the funds are part of the company's corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme in South Sumatra. "The programme has been running since 2019 and is expected to be completed in 2021," he said in a press release.

The funds will be used to build 11 stadiums with a value of Rp 4-10 billion each. The stadiums will be built in several cities and regencies including Palembang and Pagar Alam.

In addition, Bukit Asam has also allocated Rp 4.82 billion to rennovate sports venues at Jakabaring Sport City, Rp 5 billion for Siti Khodijah Islamic Hospital, and Rp 4.9 billion to purchase firefighting equipment and other facilities. (KR/MS)
