KAI announces partnership with Blue Bird
JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) collaborates with PT Blue Bird Tbk (BIRD) to provide Last Mile services or advanced transportation for Long Distance Train customers and Rail Express customers. This collaboration is part of KAI's 75th Birthday on September 28, 2020.
As an initial stage, the reach of the collaboration in these two services will be implemented in the Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang and Surabaya areas before being implemented in all cities from KAI and Bluebird operational services.
"This innovation is aimed at improving services to KAI customers. The service integration in the KAI Access application and the Rail Express service is KAI's effort to form a transportation ecosystem as a whole," said KAI President Director Didiek Hartantyo.
In the future, this service will also be developed to serve the needs of passenger taxi services to travel from the initial pick-up location to the departure station. In the early stages, logistics services from KAI and Bluebird serve for shipments from Jakarta (Jakarta Gudang Station and Pasar Senen Station) to the Bandung area (Bandung Station and Kiaracondong Station), Semarang (Semarang Tawang Station) and Surabaya (Surabaya Pasar Turi Station), where payment is made by the customer at the departure station Rail Express counter.
