Jokowi inaugurates 20 new ambassadors

JAKARTA - President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo inaugurated 20 ambassadors extraordinary and and plenipotentiary on Monday (14/9) at the State Palace, Central Jakarta.

The inauguration ceremony was also attended by Vice President Ma'ruf Amin and Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi.

The 20 ambassadors inaugurated are as follows:

  1. Laurentius Amrih Jinangkung, Ambassador to the Holy See; seated in Vatican City

  2. Dr Ratu Silvy Gayatri, Ambassador to the Republic of Finland accredited to the Republic of Estonia; seated in Helsinki

  3. Kamapradipta Isnomo, Ambassador to the Kingdom of Sweden accredited to the Republic of Latvia; seated in Stockholm

  4. Adam Mulawarman Tugio, Ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan; seated in Islamabad

  5. Ridwan Hassan, Ambassador to the State of Qatar; seated in Doha

  6. Maj. Gen. (ret.) Dr Imam Edy Mulyono, Ambassador to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela accredited to the Commonwealth of Dominica, Grenada, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, and the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago; seated in Caracas

  7. Sukmo Harsono, Ambassador to the Republic of Panama accredited to the Republic of Honduras, Republic of Costa Rica, and the Republic of Nicaragua; seated in Panama City

  8. Muhammad Lutfi, Ambassador to the United States of America; seated in Washington, D.C.

  9. Dr Mohamad Hery Saripudin, Ambassador to the Republic of Kenya accredited to the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Federal Republic of Somalia, Republic of Uganda, United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), and the United Nations Human Settlement Programme (UN Habitat); seated in Nairobi

  10. Ronny Prasetyo Yuliantoro, Ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Iran accredited to Turkmenistan; seated in Tehran

  11. Hermono, Ambassador to Malaysia; seated in Kuala Lumpur

  12. Suryopratomo, Ambassador to the Republic of Singapore; seated in Singapore

  13. Hildi Hamid, Ambassador to the Republic of Azerbaijan; seated in Baku

  14. Wisnu Edi Pratignyo, Ambassador to the Republic of Namibia accredited to the Republic of Angola; seated in Windhoek

  15. Mayerfas, Ambassador to the Kingdom of the Netherlands accredited to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW); seated in the Hague

  16. Dr Andri Hadi, Ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium accredited to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, European Union, World Customs Organization (WCO), and other international organisations based in Brussels; seated in Brussels

  17. Herry Sudradjat, Ambassador to the Republic of Mozambique accredited to the Republic of Malawi; seated in Maputo

  18. Denny Abdi, Ambassador to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; seated in Hanoi

  19. Mohamad Irzan Djohan, Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman accredited to the Republic of Yemen; seated in Muscat

  20. Agung Kurniadi, Ambassador to the Republic of Ecuador; based in Quito
