JAKARTA - PT Trinitan Metals and Minerals Tbk (PURE) plans for its nickel smelter in the Palu Special Economic Zone (KEK) to start operations in November 2021. This was conveyed by Petrus Tjandra, President Director of PURE in his public expose on Monday (21/9).
According to him, the nickel smelter will be built on a 200-hectare land.
The nickel smelter, he said, utilizes Hydrometallurgical Step Temperature Acid Leaching (STAL) technology to carry out a multi-layer refining process resulting in minimal solid waste, water use and energy. (LK/AR)
