JAKARTA. PT MD Pictures Tbk (FILM) will produce four movie series with a capital of Rp7.5 billion with an affiliate (MD Entertainment) over the next year.
Venkatachari Soundararajan, Director of FILM, said that the four series to be made are My Lectures My Husband, Malapetaka, Kisah untuk Geri, and Cinta Fitri. "By working together, the company and MD Entertainment will be able to bring more Indonesian films in the form of series," said Soundararajan through the company's disclosure.
In addition, Soundararajan added that this collaboration will increase the potential revenue of FILM and MD Entertainment.
According to data from idnfinancials.com, FILM and MD Entertainment are owned by the same shareholder, PT MD Cemerlang Optima Raya Persada. MD Cemerlang Optima Raya Persada itself is owned by Dhamoo Jethmal Punjabi with a 25% stake, followed by Sunita Dhamoo Punjabi (25%), Manoj Dhamoo Punjabi (25%), and Shania Manoj Punjabi (25%).
