JAKARTA. The Financial Services Authority (OJK) recorded that as of 7 September 2020 banks carried out restructuring for 7.38 debtors worth Rp 885.5 trillion.

5.82 million of the debtors were MSME actors worth Rp 360.6 trillion, while the remaining 1.56 million were non-MSME actors with Rp 523.9 trillion in loan relaxation.

Data from OJK also shows that restructuring realisation in financing companies as of 8 September reached Rp 166.94 trillion from 4.55 million financing contracts.

In addition, OJK also monitors the management of the government's fund placement in commercial banks, both state-owned and regional. As of 14 September, government funds in state-owned banks were recorded at Rp 30 trillion with Rp 11.5 trillion realised to 1.5 million debtors, while as of 16 September government funds in regional banks reached Rp 11.5 trillion with Rp 7.4 trillion disbursed.

According to OJK Deputy Commissioner for Public Relations and Logistics Anto Prabowo, OJK consistently strengthens integration monitoring to detect potential risks to the stability of the financial services sector. "This is also to support national economic recovery," he said in a press release on Wednesday (23/9). (AM/MS)
