JAKARTA - State-owned fertiliser manufacturer PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) has prepared 1.78 tonnes of subsidised fertiliser and 873.336 tonnes of non-subsidised fertiliser ahead of this year’s growing season.

In total, the subsidised fertiliser supply consists of 955,107 tonnes of urea fertiliser, 411,891 tonnes of NPK fertiliser, 141,372 tonnes of SP-36 fertiliser, 137,721 tonnes of ZA fertiliser, and 141,426 tonnes of organic fertiliser prepared by Pupuk Indonesia’s subsidiaries PT Pupuk Kalimantan Timur, PT Petrokimia Gresik, PT Pupuk Kujang, PT Pupuk Iskandar Muda, and PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja Palembang.

“A supply of non-subsidised fertiliser is also available from line I to official fertiliser kiosks. This aims to anticipate the needs of farmers, including those who are not registered in the Group Requirement Definitive Plan (e-RDKK),” said Pupuk Indonesia Head of Corporate Communications Wijaya Laksana in an official statement on the Ministry of State-owned Enterprises’ website, Thursday (24/9).

As of 20 September 2020, the company disbursed 6.28 million tonnes of subsidised fertiliser. According to Mr Laksana, the fertiliser was disbursed to farmers who are members of farming groups and registered in e-RDKK in accordance with allocation regulations. (MS)
