BBYB becomes a BUKU II bank after acquisition by Akulaku

JAKARTA. PT Bank Neo Commerce Tbk (BBYB), formerly known as Bank Yudha Bhakti, has officially become a Commercial Bank Business Group (BUKU) II bank after being acquired by PT Akulaku Silvrr Indonesia (Akulaku).

Hardono Budi Prasetya, Compliance Director of BBYB, said that the change of status to BUKU II had been approved by the Financial Services Authority (OJK). In a disclosure submitted to the Indonesia Stock Exchange today, Prasetya explained that OJK's approval was effective since 18 September 2020.

With the change in status to BUKU II, the scope of BBYB's business activities has widened. Starting from organizing the collection and distribution of funds in rupiah currency, foreign exchange trading, to channeling productive loans to MSMEs.

According to idnfinancials.com data, the majority of BBYB shares are held by Akulaku (24.98%), followed by PT Gozco Capital (20.13%), PT Asabri (Persero) (18.62%), and Yellow Brick Enterprise Ltd (11.1%). (KR/AR)
