Sadawarna Dam targeted for completion in 2022

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) is completing the construction of the Sadawarna Dam to supply raw water of 4.50 m3 / second for the Patimban and Pantura Port Areas of West Java, particularly Subang, Indramayu and Sumedang Regencies.

The Sadawarna Dam has been built since the start of the contract in November 2018 and is targeted for completion in October 2022. Its construction is carried out by the Citarum River Basin, Directorate General of Water Resources (SDA) with a total State Budget cost of Rp 1.89 trillion.

The Sadawarna Dam development is divided into two packages, namely the first package carried out by Joint Operations (JO) of PT. Wijaya Karya - PT Daya Mulia Turangga - PT Barata Indonesia with a contract value of Rp 999 billion. Package I works include the main dam, retrieval building, hydromechanical and electrical, and circumvention structures. The progress of the package I work in FY 2020 until mid-September reached 38.8%.

While Package II is carried out by JO of PT. Nindya Karya - PT Adhi Karya valued at Rp 907.6 billion which includes a spillway, access road, and building facilities. The construction progress for FY 2020 reaches 50.45%. Overall dam construction for Package I reached 16.3% and Package II 23.2% (LM)
