Waskita Karya has paid off its Rp 1.37 trillion bonds

JAKARTA. PT Waskita Karya Tbk (WSKT) has paid off its Rp 1.37 trillion bonds. The funds have been transferred to the Indonesian Central Securities Depository (KSEI) on Monday afternoon (5/10).

Senior Vice President/Corporate Secretary of WSKT Ratna Ningrum explained that the bonds were Waskita Karya's Shelf Registration Bond III Phase I/ 2017 Series A with a principal of Rp 1.37 trillion and a 3-year tenor.

According to Ratna, the funds used for the payment came from internal cash and loans from banks. She explained that the payment did not interfere with Waskita's liquidity.

In addition, Waskita is also preparing funds to pay off its Rp 1.15 trillion bonds which will mature on 16 October 2020. "We will transfer the funds to KSEI no later than 15 October at 14.00 WIB," said Ratna in a press release on Tuesday (6/10).

After paying off its bonds, Waskita Karya can focus on its construction projects and other efforts to strengthen its financial position. (AM/AR)
