PLN completes development of West Sulawesi’s Topoyo-Pasangkayu transmission network

MAMUJU - State-owned electricity company PT PLN (Persero) completed the development of the 150 kilovolts (kV) Topoyo-Pasangkayu transmission network in West Sulawesi.

“This transmission network will improve the reliance of electricity in the Province of West Sulawesi as one of the provinces that will support the new national capital city,” said PLN General Manager for West Sulawesi Master unit I Putu Riasa in an official statement in the Ministry of State-owned Enterprises’ website, Tuesday (6/10).

The network, Mr Riasa added, will serve over 18,462 new customers and is expected to boost economic growth in West Sulawesi.

Further, PLN will commence the development of the 150 kV Mamuju-Topoyo network, the second phase of the West Sulawesi-Central Sulawesi interconnected National Strategic Project to support the planned new national capital in North Penajam Paser, East Kalimantan. (MS)
