Damri will provide transportation services for Indonesian pilgrims

JAKARTA - Perusahaan Umum (Perum) Damri will expand its business to Saudi Arabia to provide transportation services for Indonesian pilgrims, as announced by Setia N Milatia Moemin, President Director of DAMR in Jakarta today (8/10). The company has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Hajj Fund Management Agency (BPKH) yesterday (7/10).

According to her, the memorandum of understanding was intended to help Damri expand its business to the Middle East. "To take advantage of the potential of the Hajj and Umrah market," he said.

She explained that Damri was ready to serve Hajj and Umrah pilgrims with its modern, tech-based fleet. "We hope that Damri can provide comfort for the Indonesian people during their Hajj and Umrah pilgrimage," she said. 

She said that the company was also open to the idea to serve pilgrims from other countries. (LK/AR).
