JAKARTA. PT Graha Layar Prima Tbk (BLTZ) has reopened six of its CGV cinemas in Bandung after obtaining permission from the Bandung City Government and the COVID-19 Response Acceleration Task Force.

Yeo Deoksu, Director of BLTZ, said that the six cinemas that have reopened are CGV Paris Van Java, CGV Miko Mall, CGV BEC, CGV Paskal Shopping Center, CGV Metro Indah Mall, and CGV Kings Shopping Center. "CGV has prepared a number of health protocols in accordance with the Ministry of Health guidelines and will apply them strictly," said Deoksu through a disclosure published on the IDX website.

With the protocol, CGV Cinemas will reduce the seating capacity in the auditorium space by up to 50% of normal capacity. In addition, viewers are asked to order cinema tickets and food and drinks through online channels and use digital payments.

BLTZ has admitted that its business has been affected by COVID-19 due to the closure of cinemas in various cities in Indonesia. This company owned by CGI Holdings Limited has even asked for Article 21 Income Tax (PPh) incentives because some of its business units were closed.

As previously reported by idnfinancials.com, BLTZ posted a net loss of Rp185.46 billion in the first semester of 2020. This is the biggest loss the company has experienced in one semester, in the last six years. (KR/AR)
