Star Energy has completed the issuance of its green bonds

JAKARTA - Star Energy Geothermal BV, a subsidiary of PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT), has completed the issuance of its green bonds with a total value of US$1.11 billion, which were listed on the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited (SGX).

In a disclosure published on Thursday (15/10), Diana Arsiyanti, Corporate Secretary of PT Barito Pacifik, said that the proceeds from the green bonds would be used for loan repayments and cover the operating costs of its geothermal energy plants in Salak and Derajat.

The bonds were issued in two series. Series I has a principal of US$320 million, coupon of 3.25% and a 8.5 year-tenor . Meanwhile, Series II has a principal of US$790 million, coupon of 4.85%, and a 18 year-tenor. Two rating agencies have given their rating for the green bond ('Baa3' from Moody's and 'BBB-' from Fitch Rating). (LK/AR)
