Bank Mandiri disburses Rp 83.2 trillion in loans to MSME in Q3

JAKARTA. PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) disbursed Rp 83.2 trillion in loans to MSMEs in the third quarter (Q3) of 2020, up 1.63% from Q2.

According to Bank Mandiri Deputy CEO Hery Gunardi, the increase was due to the stimulus provided by the government in the form of interest subsidies as part of the national economic recovery programme. In Q2, the bank disbursed Rp 81.9 trillion in loans to MSMEs.

"Bank Mandiri always tries to meet its commitment to disburse funds to accelerate national economic recovery," Mr Gunardi said as quoted by Bisnis Indonesia recently.

In total, Bank Mandiri received Rp 15 trillion in phases I and II of national economic recovery fund placement, with a disbursement target of Rp 45 trillion by the end of 2020. As of 15 October 2020, the bank disbursed Rp 44.88 trillion in national economic recovery loans to over 153,000 customers. (AM/MS)
