JAKARTA - PT Acset Indonusa Tbk (ACSET) together with PT Putragaya Wahana (PGW) held a topping-off ceremony for the Thamrin Nine Tower 1 building on Thursday, October 15, 2020. The ceremony was held on the 70th floor of the building, which symbolically states that construction has been carried out to the roof of the building. Meanwhile, further construction up to the 75th floor will still be continued until the handover process is carried out from ACSET to PGW as the employer / owner in 2021.

When completed in 2021, the Thamrin Nine Tower 1 building will be the tallest building in Indonesia with 75 floors and a height of up to 385 meters. This height includes the height from the ground floor (ground level) to the crown and the building tower. In addition, the Thamrin Nine Tower 1 building is also equipped with 6 basement floors.

“ACSET is proud to have the trust to be the contractor of a prestigious landmark building in Indonesia. In the future, we are optimistic that ACSET will be able to produce other works of national pride," said Idot Supriadi, President Director of ACSET who was present at the ceremony. Apart from the Thamrin Nine building, ACSET is also participating in the construction of the iconic twin building Indonesia 1 which will also be included in the list of the ten tallest buildings in Indonesia when the construction phase is complete.

Due to its supertall structure, ACSET uses several materials and special construction techniques which are not quite common in the Indonesian construction industry. One of them is the use of a very large belt truss and outrigger on 35-36 and 55-57 floor to support the building height. In addition, ACSET also chooses the cast-in-situ rather than pre-cast method to perform column construction from the ground level to the intermediate level of the building to increase the building's resistance to earthquakes. Besides being equipped with anti-earthquake features, the Thamrin Nine Tower 1 building has also met the wind load test standards to ensure the wind resistance of the supertall building structure.
