JAKARTA - Tokopedia together with the Ministry of Communication and Information of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemenkominfo RI) are holding the Digital Entrepreneurship Academy (DEA). This digital training program is intended for local business activists, especially MSMEs, who have offline and online businesses.

The Head of the Research and Development Agency for Human Resources of the Ministry of Communication and Information of the Republic of Indonesia, Basuki Y. Iskandar, stated, "The transformation of the Indonesian economy has been progressing rapidly in recent years. The target is to become one of the global economic powers by 2030, so Indonesia must focus on technology and digitization. The innovation of Indonesian technology companies such as Tokopedia can accelerate the realization of Indonesia's vision and mission to become the axis of world power," he added.

This national priority does not only target the empowerment of MSMEs through technology, but also focuses on improving superior human resources. Tokopedia itself, on the other hand, has become home to more than 9.2 million business activists in Indonesia, almost 100% of which are MSMEs, even 94% of which are ultra-micro.

DEA registration is open until October 25, 2020, while the training will take place on November 2-13, 2020 and with the theme of developing an online business according to market needs. Training materials include successful online business strategies in the marketplace, digital marketing 101 and tips on building a strong brand. (LM)
